Language is a fascinating construct that emerged roughly 150,000 years ago from our basic need for communication. What were initially only howls and hoots, eventually evolved into an intricate system of symbols. A system that is today the driving force behind all human connections and the foundation of our understanding of the world.

With language, we are able to express and share our deepest thoughts, feelings, abstract ideas, concepts, and sensory experiences. It’s a tool that not only helps us understand ourselves and others better but also allows us to navigate our environment more easily.

Through time, the once simple proto-language(s) evolved into a broad variety of unique systems, reflecting the culture, mentality, worldview, traditions, and peculiarities of each community around the globe.

And even though our environment and experiences shaped the language at first, the deep-rooted concepts of individual languages and their never-ending evolution undoubtedly influenced and continue to impact our thoughts and perceptions to this day.
